It is a stretch of 300 acres of land that is full of greenery. The park also houses an aquarium which will be a fun sight for the children. The flower beds of the park look extremely beautiful during the right seasons.

If you are a follower of art, then do not forget to visit this art gallery present inside the government museum. This is often left out by people, but we will never recommend you to do that. Currently, it houses more than 600 paintings and you will love all of them. Along with the usual paintings, you will also find artifacts that showcase the presence of art in the earlier ages. You will find pieces from the Indus Valley Civilization, the Hoysala, and the Gandhara period. Some of the artists featured in this gallery include M. F. Hussain, K. K. Hebbar, N. S. Bendre, and many others.

Devanahalli Fort

This particular fort is 35 Km from the city centre of Bengaluru and is especially known for the brilliant architecture. It is the birthplace of Tipu Sultan, so it is quite crucial to the history of Bangalore. The fort is spread over 20 acres which doesn’t make it majestic as some of the other forts, but it is beautiful to look at. You can find the residences of Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan and you can check out their lifestyle and history. There are also several temples inside the fort depicting the culture of the place and you should visit the Venugopalaswamy Temple.

If you are ready to travel 60 KM out of Bangalore, then we will suggest you take one-day trips to the Nandi Hills. Over the years, people have realized the beauty of the place. It is away from the noises and pollution of the city and you can easily spend a couple of days over here. This was, in fact, the place where Tipu Sultan sought recluse in the summer months. Apart from being a great weekend getaway, the place also has several temples. We suggest you visit the Tipu’s Drop which will send shivers up your spine.
