How to Find Entertainment in Bucharest

Often considered as one of Europe’s most affordable destinations, Bucharest in Romania is worth visiting for its rich and diverse history, brilliant architecture and top of the line services everywhere, but without the sky-high costs associated with other major European cities. If you are planning a trip to the city anytime soon, here’s a little introduction on how to go about finding entertainment in the city.

Go on a Private Wine Tasting Tour

Romanian wine is among the best in the world and in Bucharest, you can take a private tour through Old Town (which is actually just over three years old!), where some of the best wine bars in the country are located. Do hire a local guide to make sure that you are not missing out on anything.

Go on a Walking Tour

Bucharest has multiple walking tours available that every traveller should at least try once. Although they are technically free, the local guide will still need to be paid, but that’s not a bad thing, given that he/she can help you with insider tips in regards to where the best restaurants, bars and exclusive spots are located in the city. In general, the tours are both scenic and historic, with a special focus on the infamous Vlad the Impaler, who inspired multiple villains in pop culture and literature over the centuries.

Relax at a Massage Parlour

You can visit the famous Erotic Massage Bucharest for a unique and relaxing experience, or just relax at the spa after a regular massage, and it will likely cost you half of what a similar luxurious treatment would at almost any other European city, if not less!

Dance the Night and the Morning Away at a Nightclub

The city of Bucharest is not lacking when it comes to nightclubs, but if you are not from anywhere around the region, you may find the clubbing hours to be excitingly extreme. Midnight is usually when the party really starts and sometimes, it starts even later than that! As you can imagine, this means that you will be dancing the night and a chunk of the morning away at these clubs, which is what makes the clubbing experience so exciting here. Some of the popular nightclubs worth checking out in Bucharest are Shoteria, Chaboo, Control Club, Fratelli and of course, Octoberfest. The best part is that given the value of the pound here, you will probably never feel like you have overspent, even after a wild night.

Of course, this is just an introduction because there’s just so much more here on offer in Bucharest. In all honesty, you won’t likely have enough to time to see and do everything that the city has to offer in just one tour, so it’s safe to say that if this is your first or even second trip to Bucharest, there’s enough entertainment in the city to keep everyone engaged for the entire length of the trip and then some.
