Shraddha Kapoor is a famous name in the Bollywood Industry in recent times who is the daughter of legendary film actor Shakti Kapoor. Early Life
The actress was born on 3 March 1987 in Mumbai. She had her primary education from Jamnabai Narsee School in Mumbai and higher education from American School of Bombay. She had the ambition of becoming an actress from childhood and often used to rehearse with film dialogues at her home.
Work Life
She had her first break in Bollywood for a small role in the Amitabh Bachchan starrer movie “Teen Patti” produced by Ambika Hinduja. Her short bold role was quite appreciated by the critics and she won her first Filmfare Debut award for it. Her next film was “Luv Ka The End” in 2011 but it failed to succeed at the box office. Finally, in 2013 fortune smiled upon her and she won the hearts of millions of audience with her performance in “Aashiqui 2”.
The movie gave her immense fame and since then she never looked back. Her next remarkable project was “Ek Villain” where she played a short role opposite to Siddharth Malhotra-a professional criminal who learns to discover his life through the company of Shraddha Kapoor who plays the role of his wife and quickly gets murdered in the film by a serial killer. The movie is all about how he seeks revenge for his wife’s murder from the serial killer. Another biggest project of Shraddha Kapoor was Haider opposite to Shahid Kapoor which is based on the legendary Shakespeare’s story of Hamlet.
The movie shows the Kashmir conflict of 1995 and has the plotting similar to Hamlet. She plays the character of Hamlets love interest Ophelia in the movie while Shahid Kapoor plays the lead role of Hamlet. The next big hit of Shraddha Kapoor is ABCD 2 which is based on dance drama where she is paired opposite to famous actor Varun Dhawan under the production of Walt Disney Pictures and choreographed by dancing legends Prabhu Deva and Remo D’Souza.
Her biggest hit of 2016 was Baaghi which is an action drama and there she is paired opposite to Tiger Shroff who is the son of famous Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff. The movie is based on excellent martial arts and revolves around the same topic. Her other biggest hits like Rock On 2 , Ok Jaanu , Half Girlfriend, Haseena Parker based on the real-life story of Dawood Ibrahim’s sister where he portrays the tough and strong character of Haseena Parker and her latest release is “Stree” opposite to Rajkumar Rao. in 2018 which is a horror comedy based on the Nale Ba legend.
