Virat Kohli:

The present captain of the Indian Cricket Team is regarded as one of the best cricket batsmen of all time. Virat Kohli started his first-class cricket career in 2006 and captained Indian U-19 team to win the 2008 U-19 World Cup. He made his class A international debut at the age of 19 against Sri Lanka and later went on to be the part of the squad that won the 2011 World Cup. He is currently ranked number one international batsman.

Sachin Tendulkar:

Sometimes nicknamed as ‘The God of Cricket’ by his fans, Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar had a very long cricketing career in which he set multiple records and benchmarks for future batsmen. He is the highest run scorer of all time in cricket and also is the only person with total 100 International Centuries and also the first person to score a double Century. He made his international debut in the year 1989 making him the youngest Indian player to play the class A international cricket. He went on to make and break numerous records during his career and has also been awarded the Arjuna Award by the Government of India and also served one full term of the Member of the Rajya Sabha.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni:

Mahendra Singh Dhoni belongs to Ranchi that is the capital of present-day Jharkhand. Dhoni initially excelled in sports such as badminton and football which he played till District level as the goalkeeper. He played cricket for a local club and showed expertise in wicket keeping even though he hadn’t played the game before. His journey started with this club and escalated till he became the captain of the Indian ODI Cricket team in 2007. He captained the ODI team for nine years and holds many records for his cool and calm captaincy and tactics.

Sunil Gavaskar:

Also regarded as ‘Sunny’, Sunil Gavaskar is regarded as one of the best test players in the country. He is known for his brilliant batting skills which he used to maintain 64 plus average score against the fast bowlers. He held the record for maximum test centuries for almost two decades before it was broken by Sachin Tendulkar. He was the first batsman to score more than 10 thousand test runs.

Kapil Dev:

Kapil Dev is one of the best Indian cricketers of all time. It is under his captaincy, India won its first World Cup in the year 1983. He was a brilliant bowler and held the top wicket-taker records in both ODI and Test cricket. He was the first bowler to take 200 ODI wickets. He is regarded as one of the best bowlers of his time.
