RBI will Issue a New Note of 100 Rupees Soon! – 100 Rupees New Note

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) released a new note of 100 rupees on Thursday. The size of the new note will be different from the existing 100 rupees note and for this ATM machines recalibration will be done. According to the ATM Operation Industry, due to the new notes, it will cost Rs 100 crores for recalibrating 2.4 lakh machines in the country. When Rs 200 note was issued at that time also ATM had to do a recalibration.

Industry analysts say that the work of reclaiming all the ATMs for the notes of 200 rupees has not been completed yet, and again they will need to do recalibration all the ATM machines for new 100 rupees notes. These new notes of the Mahatma Gandhi series will have signed by the current Governor Urjit Patel. According to the statement issued by the central bank, the back of this new note will be a picture of ‘Rani Ki Vav’ located in Patan district of Gujarat.

The ‘Rani Ki Vav’ is a stepwell, India’s heritage will be shown by displaying this on the note. The colour of this note will be lavender, i.e. light purple. The size of this note will be 66 mm × 142 mm. The central bank said that along with this new note, all the series of 100 rupees notes already prevalent will be accepted as before. The central bank said that after the release of these new notes its supply will be increased faster.

  1. The digits of 100 will be written downwards.
  2. In the middle, there will be a picture of Mahatma Gandhi.
  3. The number 100 will be written left side besides Mahatma Gandhi picture.
  4. ‘RBI’, ‘India’, ‘India’ and ‘100’ will be written in micro words.
  5. On the right side of Mahatma Gandhi’s picture, there will be a promise clause and below there will be the Governor’s signature.
  6. There also will be ‘Ashoka Pillar’ on the right side of the note.
